Two people have died after a three-wheeler travelling on the Nallathanniya-Maskeliya main road fell off a cliff near Mohini Falls.
A Nallathanniya police spokesperson said that three school children travelling in the three-wheeler were also seriously injured and admitted to the Maskeliya District Hospital.
The accident occurred at around 8:15 this morning (22), and the three-wheeler, which was travelling at high speed, lost control of the driver and fell off a cliff, causing the accident.
The driver of the three-wheeler and an adult passenger in the three-wheeler have died in the accident. The police also said that five people were travelling in the three-wheeler at the time of the accident.
