Conspiracies may occur in the future to displease the monks of this country and create an environment in which the Thero cannot advance in society, says Senior Professor Agalakada Sirisumana Thero, Chairman and Board Member of the Sasanarakashaka Sangha Sabha.
The Thero stated this while participating in a Sangha conference held in Colombo this afternoon (27).
The Maha Sangha conference organized by the Sasanarakashaka Sangha Sabha was held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre this afternoon.
Speaking further at the event, Agalakada Sirisumana Thero said the following.
"If we say that the Sangha is coming together, there are some people who are angry like pouring kerosene on the Garadians, there is a group of people who are angry to throw mud at this country. The yellow robe is not just a garment. We who wear it cannot remain silent. Therefore, we have to understand these responsibilities and act accordingly.
"We inform you that the power, state power, political power operating in our country today is controlled by organizations abroad that are traitors to the nation, do evil, and hate, rulers who depend on their money and ideas and thoughts. They cannot show this arrogance. This national power culture that has been built in the robe does not tolerate these valuable and excellent relationships. For so long, they have been trying to attack and destroy from foreign countries. The military has not yet felt it. In another 2 or 3 years, a situation will arise where it will be impossible to take to the streets. Therefore, it is not about to topple governments, it is not about sending rulers home. We must stand firm in the face of the challenges we face and unite to show our strength and power to the world…."
