Veteran model Chulapadmendra has been found dead in a bed in a house under suspicious circumstances, the Piliyandala Police said. The house where she died is located in the Piliyandala area and belongs to a prominent businessman, the police said.
Initial investigations conducted by the police have revealed that she had arrived at the house with the businessman early yesterday (31) after a function organized by her at a hotel in the Battaramulla area.
The businessman had tried to wake her up while she was sleeping on her back, but when she did not respond, he noticed blood on the bed and called the 1990 Suva Seriya Ambulance Service upon further examination.
Later, upon their arrival, it was revealed that she had died, and the businessman had subsequently informed the Piliyandala Police about this. Chula Padmendra's mother has also filed a complaint with the police regarding this death, stating that her daughter's death is suspicious.
