Dr. Perera also explained that health authorities are monitoring outpatients and inpatients in selected hospitals located in areas with a high risk of influenza infection to identify influenza patients.
The latest data he presented showed that 5% of outpatients in those hospitals have shown symptoms of influenza, while about 3.8% of inpatients have also shown the same symptoms.
