The Department of Examinations states that applications have been invited for the General Information Technology (GIT) Examination 2026 to be held for Grade 12 students of government and private schools.
The department stated in a statement that the acceptance of applications began on the 22nd and will be done online until July 16th.
Accordingly, all applicants should submit their applications through their principals/school heads and principals/private school heads should visit the official website of the Department of Examinations of Sri Lanka www.donets.lk or www.onlineexams.gov.lk/eic, read the relevant instructions carefully and submit applications only through the online method.
The Department of Examinations also informs that no candidate wishing to appear for this examination can apply for it in person.
The announcement issued by the Department of Examinations also states that applicants should apply for this examination using the usernames and passwords already provided to government and private school principals, and should obtain a printed copy and keep it safe in their custody to present when necessary.
