The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has increased fuel prices, effective from midnight today (30). Under the new price revision, the price of a litre of Octane 92 petrol has been raised by Rs. 15, bringing the new price to Rs. 414.
However, the price of Octane 95 petrol—previously Rs. 475 per litre—remains unchanged.
Meanwhile, the price of a litre of Super Diesel has been increased by Rs. 50; consequently, the price has risen from Rs. 478 to Rs. 528.
Additionally, the price of a litre of standard diesel has been raised by Rs. 10, moving from Rs. 382 to a new price of Rs. 392.
There has been no increase in the price of kerosene either; it remains at the previous rate of Rs. 285.
