It is reported that the Police Commission has revoked, with immediate effect, the transfer orders issued for several officers, including Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) Ranmal Kodithuwakku and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Police Narcotics Bureau, Ashoka Dharmasena.
Reports indicate that the transfers of the Director of the Police Narcotics Bureau, two Superintendents of Police (SPs), and several female Police Inspectors, among others, have been rejected.
The request for these transfers had been submitted to the Police Commission by the Inspector General of Police (IGP). The decision was reached during a meeting of the Police Commission held today (01).
