It is reported that the person who was seriously injured in the shooting that occurred in the Huludagoda Road area in Mount Lavinia last night (15) has died.
The person injured in the shooting was admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital and died while receiving treatment.
The police suspect that the murder may have been the result of a personal dispute between two organized crime gangs, and that two gunmen who arrived on a motorcycle fired the shots and fled.
Hundreds of fugitive criminals will be brought back to Sri Lanka today and tomorrow.
