The verdict on the petition filed against the pardon granted to Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero, Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena Organization who was sentenced to prison on charges of contempt of court, was announced today.
Accordingly, the Supreme Court ruled today that the pardon granted by former President Maithripala Sirisena is invalid.
