The ten doctors who treated former State Intelligence Chief Suresh Salley currently held under a detention order pursuant to the Prevention of Terrorism Act—and the Director of the National Hospital [are ordered to appear] next Tuesday. It is reported that he has been summoned to appear before the court on the 6th.

Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena issued this order following a request made yesterday by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The order directs the Director of the Colombo National Hospital, along with ten specialist physicians—specifically in the fields of general medicine, psychiatry, and cardiology—to appear before the court and present facts regarding the former State Intelligence Chief's current health condition and whether he requires continued hospitalization and treatment.
