The Morawaka Magistrate's Court has issued an order prohibiting the distribution and sale of the additional grain meal under the brand name Samaposha.
It is due to the presence of aflatoxin, a carcinogen, in that type of food.
Accordingly, it has been ordered to prohibit the sale of this product within the jurisdiction of Morawa with immediate effect and to immediately remove the stock of the product currently in the market.
Karuna had reported to the court that the public health inspectors seized these products and sent them for testing and revealed that the amount of aflatoxin was exceeded. Earlier, three other types of food were also sold on court orders
