The Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, has filed an interlocutory petition in relation to the petition filed by former Director of the State Intelligence Service Suresh challenging his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
The Cardinal, through his interlocutory petition, requests the court to grant him permission to intervene and present his case in the petition filed by Suresh Sale and to dismiss the relevant petition filed by the former intelligence chief without taking it up for hearing.
