The Cabinet has approved a proposal to extend the retirement age of judges at a cabinet meeting held today (27), sources said.
The government is planning to extend the retirement age of Court of Appeal and Supreme Court judges, which are set at 63 and 65 years respectively under the Sri Lankan Constitution, by two more years through a constitutional amendment, it is learnt.
