An anesthesiologist at the Badulla Teaching Hospital is missing, according to the police.
It has been observed that this specialist doctor was on duty yesterday (23) morning but was not seen since then, and his car was recorded on a CCTV camera in the Meegahakivula area as being driven towards Mahiyanganaya.
Upon further investigation based on that information, the police were able to locate the doctor's car in the 17th Kanuwa Mapakadawewa area on the Badulla-Mahiyanganaya canal road last night.
Accordingly, a joint search is scheduled to be conducted in that area by the police, crime scene officers and the army to find the doctor, police sources further stated.
