It is reported that a number of powerful President's Counsels have decided not to file written submissions regarding the petitions filed before the Supreme Court regarding the 22nd Amendment.

The bench had given time to file written submissions before 3 pm today.

However, when the case was taken up for hearing the previous day, the Chief Justice did not allow President's Counsel M.A. Sumandhiran to make a submission in response to the government's submissions, which was cited as the reason for refraining from filing written submissions.

It is further reported that the matter will be presented to the Supreme Court through a motion paper
