Foreign media reports that Ukraine has launched a powerful drone attack targeting a major oil terminal and a naval base in the Russian city of St. Petersburg.

Speaking after the attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the attack destroyed a key energy infrastructure that generates revenue for Russia’s military operations. Zelensky also said that a major Russian naval base located nearby was also attacked.

Foreign media reports say that the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, confirmed that there had been a massive drone attack on the city and that security forces were taking urgent measures.

The media reports that Ukraine has recently intensified long-range drone attacks targeting Russia's critical energy infrastructure, and that these attacks have severely affected fuel supplies in Russia, and fuel shortages are also being reported in some areas.

As a result of these attacks, it is reported that about 43% of Russia's oil refining capacity has now been disabled.
