Further strengthening the bilateral relations between the United States of America and Sri Lanka, the American authorities have decided to reduce the US tariff on Sri Lanka to 10%.

The timely actions and instructions of the President, the skillful completion of negotiations by the Sri Lankan delegation, the daily coordination and the commitment of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Washington, D.C. have been the main reasons for this successful outcome, says Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States Mahinda Samarasinghe.
