The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that water supply will be suspended for 24 hours from 8.00 pm today (03) to 8.00 pm tomorrow (04) in Colombo and several surrounding areas.
The board states that this water cut is due to essential maintenance work at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.
Accordingly, water supply is scheduled to be suspended in the following areas: Nugegoda, Kohuwala, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, Moratuwa, Rawathawatta, Soysapura, Angulana, Indibedda, Katubedda, Kaldemulla, Modara, Koralawella, Egodauyana and Katukurunda.
In addition, the water cut will also affect the areas of Sethsiripaya, Himbutana, Udumulla Road, Maligagodella, Bank Junction Road, W.A. Silva Mawatha, Havelock Road, Kalyani Road, Colombo 06, Hospital Roundabout Road, Jayanthi Mawatha and Shanthi Mawatha.
